Budget Administration and Operations



Welcome to Budget Administration and Operations at San Francisco State University. Our goal is to make budget and related information available to faculty, staff, and students.  The office directs the development of the annual university budget, assesses ongoing budget planning issues, provides information for internal planning and decision-making, and facilitates the reporting requirements of the University.


Start Planning for Fiscal Year 2017–18

We have posted the Budget Planning Assumptions (PDF) and the Budget Planning Instructions & Timeline (PDF) documents for the upcoming fiscal year. Each year, following review and consultation with technical budget staff, the Budget Office develops a draft Planning Budget for submission to the President and Cabinet Officers. Each cabinet develops budget plans in coordination with their divisions/departments, which are then submitted to the Budget Office for review and may further be discussed with the President.
